2016 is just around the corner.. I can’t believe how fast this year flew by. So it’s time to reflect and have a walk down memory lane. It has been a fantastic year with a lot of unforgetable travels, but also work wise. Saying goodbye to CofD and start my own blog, amazing collaborations with brands I absolutely love, winning the ELLE Style Influencer Award and meet so many new people. Can’t wait continue everything in the new year and work harder on my blog content.
Going to share my resolutions later with you guys, first I thought it would be fun to share my favorite moments of 2015 with you. Wich include a lot of my travels because that’s what I LOVE to do and are my favorite moments in life.
Starting 2015 in my favorite city in the world was so special! NYC was my number 1 favorite memory. Milan and I had such a good time those 10 days discovering a city we were dreaming about for so long. Every day was a new adventure. Can’t wait to go back soon!
When I received an email from Hilmar Mulder in May with the message I was nominated for an ELLE Style Award I couldn’t believe it. When we spoke on the phone later that week it started to sink in a little bit and I was SO happy. It felt like a recognition of all the hard work I put into my blog, a BIG reward. The evening of the award show I just got back from the USA that morning but I had so much adrenaline of excitement (and also nerves) I didn’t felt tired at all. The moment when they said my name and I won the award I will never forget and it’s definitely my favorite moment of this year (or like ever).
Sometimes you have to do something that’s scares you. That definitely was launching my own blog and saying goodbye to Creators of Desire. My save haven for almost 4 years. It was the best decision because when you are on your own you learn so much more. I learned how to do my own business, work together with brands, make proposals etc. I’m still learning so much every single day and it really feels so good to be independent. Still happy with my blog lay-out but going to tweak a bit here and there the coming few months.
We had a great summer here in Amsterdam with a lot of sunny days. And those days are just the best. Evening walks before bed along the canals, having (a lot) ice cream, catch up with friends at the park and of course festivals. The city is at it’s best in summer . Can we press forward to May please?
As you already know Lisbon is my all time favorite (European) city and we had such a great week back in August. Celebrating my 27th birthday, go to the beach, biking along the Thague river, ate amazing food and our stay at the Four Seasons was definitely the best hotel experience of all time. Wish we could do that week all over
One of my favorite things ever are festivals! And Lollapalooza was something special. I was very lucky to be invited by Zalando for 2 days of festival spectacle. I saw a lot of my favorite bands, discovered a whole bunch of new ones and overall had a really great time in Berlin. On my wishlist for next year for sure.
It’s a terrible cliche but Paris is always a good idea. And this time was no exception, 3 days of wandering around the beautiful streets, taking a lot of pictures and quality time with my favorite person every. Can we go back please?
Right after Paris I jumped on the plane to America! We were invited to visit SCAD university and Savannah Film Festival. It was a whirlwind of impressions and a week I will never forget. Savannah was the prettiest city I have ever seen and I really hope to come back in the future.
Sneak peek! I will show you guys our new home very very soon but moving to our new little apartment was also one of the best things. We had a really nice apartment but we lived at a very busy street, now we live near a park and the apartment is just so cosy. It instantly felt like home and we are so happy with it.
This isn’t really a moment, but to spend all those special moments with Milan made everything extra amazing. In March we are going to celebrate our 10th year anniversary and I can’t wait to create a lot more special and unforgettable moments together in the new year.
Hope you liked this little round-up. Stay tuned for a BIG outfit recap and my resolutions for the new year.
